The Mobile Food Pantry (MFP) was established in October 2019 as a collaboration between the Islamic Society of Evansville and its physician members who established MASIHA (Muslim Association of Southern Indiana for Health Advancement). As of April 2020, the MFP has distributed over 7,000 lbs (approximately 900 grocery bags) of non-perishable food items to deserving tristate families. During the current COVID-19 crisis, our Mobile Food Pantry has become our primary channel through which we reach out to our neighbors who need our support. As Muslims, we firmly believe supporting our neighbors is our inherent duty based on the teachings of Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him): “If even one member of our community suffers, it is as if all of mankind is suffering.” The Mobile Food Pantry offers assistance to any food-insecure families regardless of religion, race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or immigration status.
If you would like to donate to this great cause, please go to https://mobilefoodpantry.net/. This website also presents additional information if you would like to learn about our food distribution methods and locations. Our Mobile Food Pantry is wholly supported by local community members, physicians, and organizations. We do not receive any sort of state or federal funding.

The Mobile Food Pantry also welcomes donations of non-perishable goods
